No. 4 mine was located near Comox Lake. The steam hoist was open 12 hours a day, from 7am to 7pm.
Description
Postcard of no. 4 mine steam hoist. Pictured are two men standing on the right side, with a dog at their feet. There is a man sitting on the stairs in the back. The man standing on the left has been identified as Hugh Miller. The postcard is damaged, with tears and stains, and has had tape applied to it.
