History
Willard block was the first brick building in Cumberland. It existed from 1896 to 1970.
Description
Black and white photograph shows Willard Block in the early 1900s. The centre door of the Willard Block building was the Royal Bank entrance. The door at the left was a harness shop owned by W. Willard. The door to the right of the building was the post office. Dr. D.H. Willard had a dental office upstairs in this building, which was later Mumford's.
People identified: Mr. and Mrs. Willard, children Joe (on the steps) and Charlie (in the buggy).
