Bing Yuen Chin was a Chinese miner working in the no. 6 mine on the day of the February 15th, 1901 disaster. After the initial explosion, an intense fire and a second explosion left little hope for survivours and the mine was flooded to finally put out the raging fire. Unfortunately discrepancies in the recording of Chinese fatalities of the disaster have caused difficulties in identifying Chinese casualties.
