Daniel Morgan immigrated to Canada from Scotland with his wife, Elizabeth, in 1921. He worked in mines throughout Vancouver Island, including No. 4 mine from 1922 to 1923, and No. 8 mine from 1937 to 1958, when he retired. The Morgan family lived at 2633 Dunsmuir Avenue in Cumberland during the 1940s.
Daniel was buried in the Cumberland cemetery in Block 13-19.
