History
Boots such as these were worn by loggers, especially those who worked assembling the log booms, known as boom men.
Description
These boots, worn by loggers, have been caulked and are calf high lace ups. They are made of leather, and the sole and heel of each boot is studded with pointed, rounded caulks to prevent slipping when walking on loose logs. Each boot is fitted with a fringed "kiltie", a piece of leather that sits under the laces and protects the front of the boot and easy to replace when worn out.
