History
The Sora family was among the many families that created a community around the No. 5 Mine in Cumberland. The Sora family were removed from their home (along with approximately six-hundred other Japanese Canadians) on April 15, 1942 during internment. They were forcibly relocated to Greenwood, BC and Clarkson, ON.
