The booklet was addressed "To Mr. Brown, from Mr. Turner".

He most lives
Who thinks most, feels the noblest,
acts the best."
Right page text reads:
"In Loving Memory of John Turner
The eldest son of John and Elizabeth Turner, Denheath[?], Methil[?]
Who was killed by an explosion of gas in No. 4 Mine, Canadian Collieries, Cumberland, B.C., Canada on the 8th of February, 1923.
Aged 22 years"
