History
A UMWA ribbon from the local chapter no. 2299, district 28 in Cumberland, B.C.. It was worn by Sam Cameron, the donor's father, before and after 1912-1914 strike. Ribbons and badges supporting unionisation and the labour movement were worn proudly long after the conclusion of the strike.
Description
A red and a black ribbon with tassels on the bottoms and U.M.W.A logos. The red ribbon has a pair of flags, Canada and the United States, while the black ribbon has a wreath and the text "In memoriam".
