History
This Japanese box, dating to the 1930s, was accessioned into the Cumberland Museum's founding collection in the 1980s. Though its exact provenance is unknown, it is believed to have been used as a jewelry box, likely placed on a woman's vanity.
Description
This box is dark brown with flower motifs on the lid. Once the lid is open, two smaller compartments can be opened.
