History
This lamp is believed to have started the fire in the King George Hotel (There is a newspaper article showing this lamp as the cause of the King George Fire.) It was possibly purchased by Mr. C. Bennet from John Cameron (Fire Chief Ca. 1949) and later donated to the museum. It hung in the Esso Service Station for a number of years.
